TANTV Local News (TANTV DMV) names Wanika Fisher to its Civic & Political Voices Network, an initiative focused on elevating informed perspectives on public issues affecting Maryland communities.
Fisher currently serves as a Council Member for Prince George’s County, representing District 2, and is running for State’s Attorney on a platform of “Community-First Justice.” She brings a rare 360° view of the legal system—having served as a prosecutor, defense attorney, and legislator—giving her a grounded, multidimensional understanding of how justice is delivered and where it falls short.

Through the Civic & Political Voices Network, Fisher will contribute commentary on violent crime prosecution, juvenile justice reform, immigrant community protections, and government transparency. The network gives civic leaders, public officials, and community voices a platform to share analysis and commentary directly with residents.
Her first piece, Accountability Over Impunity: When ICE Use-of-Force Policy Must Meet Prosecution, is available now on TANTV News.
