Twix is making way for a new flavor that is cake and cookie like. Mars unveiled the first look at Twix Frosted Cookie at the NACS Show in Las Vegas this month, a yearly trade show where brands hype up new convenience-store products. The bar will be released in 2027 and received positive feedback on social media. Here’s what we know so far.
Twix unveils Frosted Cookie
The new addition to the Twix line comes in the form of a Twix Frosted Cookie. The bar was listed as one of many Mars out that will even be on shelves in 2027 and it was teased alongside a new addition to the Skittles line with the upcoming Skittles Gummy Crystals.
Where the reveal took place
The flavor made an appearance at the 2026 NACS Show in Las Vegas. The annual show connects food brands and companies with convenience-store buyers. It’s a typical setting to introduce products that consumers will find on the shelf in the coming months.
A shortbread base
Each Twix Frosted Cookie bar is a shortbread cookie base. Substituting what you normally find in a cookie, the classic Twix has biscuit, caramel and milk chocolate. The other flavor features the different layers: all in one package. Each package features two bars.
A vanilla-flavored creme layer
Inside the filling is a vanilla-flavored creme, where caramel is used in the regular Twix. One of the earlier reviews of the flavor said it was sugary and creamy and reminiscent of frosting. The creme is the defining characteristic of the new flavor.
A milk chocolate coating
The outer is also coated in the same style of milk chocolate as on the traditional Twix. Comments on other images that were posted early said they were intrigued by the juxtaposition of the vanilla creme, shortbread and the chocolate, as well as the powder-blue wrapper.
What the label details show
Product details shared so far indicate that the bar contains artificial flavors. A pack is reported to contain 200 calories. Retail listings also show the bar in a 1.36-ounce single size. Final packaging details and any additional formats have not been announced.
Release timing
Twix Frosted Cookie is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2027. Mars has not publicly given an exact release date, pricing or store availability.
Part of a growing cookie lineup
Cookie-inspired variations have been a consistent theme in the Twix lineup. Twix Cookies & Creme launched in 1991, and Cookie Dough rolled out in the U.S. in December 2022. Snickerdoodle came out in July 2025, which Mars said is its third cookie-inspired Twix flavor.
How fans reacted
The online reaction has largely been favorable. Some fans said the new flavor tasted like the one launched last year, the Snickerdoodle bar, while others said it was similar to a now-defunct Sugar Cookie Twix bar that was in production but eventually shelved. Not everyone was as impressed: One twitter user said they weren’t a fan of the bar after trying it.
What to know before it arrives
It is the crispy shortbread base, vanilla creme, and milk chocolate coating you love on a cookie with frosting and no added ingredients, such as preservatives or artificial colors. It is a 2027 release. Pricing, store availability and launch date have not been announced.
