During an interview with reporters aboard Air Force One on October 13, 2025, President Donald Trump made candid remarks about his afterlife, admitting he may not go to heaven. Responding to a question about whether his peace efforts, including a ceasefire in the Middle East, might improve his chances of entering heaven, Trump said, “I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven, okay. I really don’t. I think I’m not maybe heaven bound.”

He added with a humorous tone, “I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One.” Trump also highlighted that despite doubts about the afterlife, he believes he has made life better for many people.

The president discussed the connection between the 2020 U.S. election and global conflicts, claiming that if the election had not been “rigged,” millions of lives might have been saved, referencing the war in Ukraine and other international issues. He contrasted his administration’s approach to military aid with that of the current administration, noting that his administration sent weapons to NATO rather than directly to Ukraine, with NATO reimbursing the U.S.

The remarks came amid Trump’s ongoing focus on international diplomacy and his broader political messaging. The interview underscored the president’s complex and sometimes playful reflections on spirituality and his public role.
