Olympic gymnast Simone Biles recently shared a very emotional moment with her fans online. She and her NFL player husband Jonathan Owens just sold their beautiful house in Texas. Biles posted a touching video where she literally broke down crying over leaving the property. Let us look at why this specific home meant so much to the gold medalist and what happened during the sale.
Saying goodbye to Spring, Texas

The famous couple officially sold their large home located in a gated community in Spring, Texas. They lived in this property near Houston for about six years before deciding to move on. Biles recorded a video walking through the empty rooms one last time to say her final goodbyes.
A quick sale on the market

This beautiful house did not stay available for very long at all. According to reports from the Houston Association of Realtors, the property went under contract after being on the market for just four or five days. The quick sale shows just how desirable this specific Texas neighborhood is right now.
The final selling price

They originally listed the property with an asking price of $1.275 million. The final sale price landed somewhere between $1.08 million and $1.24 million. The exact final amount was kept private, but it was still a major real estate deal for the couple.
Tears instead of air fresheners

Biles originally had a fun plan to get the house ready for potential buyers to walk through. She wanted to set up nice air fresheners and show Jonathan the final look of the home. Instead of doing that, she ended up just crying because the reality of leaving finally hit her hard.
Growing up in the home

The gymnast admitted she never thought she would actually get this emotional over a simple building. She explained in her video that she felt like she truly grew up in this house. Living there over the past six years helped her feel like a real adult.
Good and bad memories

Biles lived in this house since 2020 before she and Owens even got married. She mentioned that the walls held so many good memories and also a lot of bad memories from her past. It was the main place she called home through many major life changes and challenges.
Luxurious inside features

The home itself is huge and features 3,998 square feet of living space. It includes four big bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a fancy waterfall island kitchen with a hidden pantry. The couple also enjoyed a spa-inspired primary bathroom and an oversized garage for three cars.
Amazing backyard upgrades

The outside of the house is just as impressive as the inside rooms. It features a custom heated swimming pool and a nice relaxing sauna. They even had a special dog-washing station built just for their beloved pets.
Wishing the new owners well

Even though she was very sad to leave, Biles made sure to leave a sweet message for the buyers. She spoke directly to the new owners during her emotional video tour. She said she hopes the house brings them just as much joy as it brought her over the years.
Moving forward together

Biles and Owens officially closed the sale on October 15, 2026. They are now moving on to new adventures together as a married couple. The two are currently building a brand new custom dream home in Texas.
