The family “are deeply heartbroken” over the loss of their beloved Fiona, the statement says. They recalled her as a sweet girl who was intelligent, creative, and had a love for dance. The family said Fiona was beloved by her sisters and loved by her parents, saying she was the light of their lives. This was a very sad time for the Lowes, who said she was a tragedy to the family, and requested prayers and privacy.

Fiona was found dead at her home Tuesday, according to law enforcement sources that told TMZ. The police was called to the house at 12:10 a.m., according to those sources. The family’s statement did not reveal a cause of death. It had, however, information for anyone struggling with their mental health in the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
A Family of Five
Chad Lowe, 58, and Kim Painter, 52, started dating in 2007 and tied the knot Aug. 28, 2010, in a small ceremony in Los Angeles. Fiona is 5 years old. The couple also has two other daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
A Birthday Tribute Last Year
Lowe frequently posted photos on social media of him with his daughters. He took to Instagram in November 2025 to post a picture celebrating Fiona’s 13th birthday, which marked her first time becoming a teenager. He lovingly offered her the nickname “FiBear” in the caption and left her the message of keeping on dancing.
Weeks Before Her 14th Birthday
Fiona had been lucky to be still alive until November, which was her 14th birthday, but the news of her death arrives only weeks short of that. The photos of Chad and Fiona together were only taken in April 2026.
